CII-IBS Indore Finishing School

January 30, 2009 saw the inauguration of a Finishing School at IBS Indore campus which has been started in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) M.P State. The objective of the finishing school is to provide Soft Skills training to the students from SC/ ST/ OBC category graduating from Engineering, Business Management and Law Institutions. The purpose of the school is to facilitate the strengthening of the capability of the students , to improve their employability, once they complete their education. The focus of the program is to sharpen soft skills, which have now become extremely important for success in any profession, anywhere in the world. The cutting edge of the finishing school is the development of the frame work and its contents through collaborative efforts between industry and IBS Indore.  The touch stone of the finishing school will be to deliver a more polished budding professional. In that sense, the challenge of the finishing school will be to build and enhance the confidence level of the students by providing them early exposure to their future work places.

The classes will be conducted at IBS Indore Campus during weekends- for ten weeks of 6 hours each and speakers from various industries and soft skills trainers of IBS Indore will conduct various sessions. The curriculum has been designed with extensive inputs from Industry experts and Academicians.

The Finishing School was inaugurated by Mr. Rajendra Prasad- Chairman, CII MP and was addressed by Col. T.D.Prasad- Associate Dean- Soft Skills, IBS Head Office Hyderabad, Mr. Baburaj V Nair, Head Human Resources-VE Commercial Vehicles, Mr. Mukesh Vyas- General Manager-Human Resources, Piramal Health Care Ltd and Mr. Anil Dubey- General Manager, Human Resources and Administration, Tata International Ltd.  Dr. Manoj Bhatia- Dean IBS Indore, delivered welcome speech.  The concluding remarks were given by Dr. D.T.Manwani-Associate Dean and Finishing School Coordinator, IBS Indore. Registered students for the program were also present.
