Campus Merit Scholarship
This
is a merit scholarship scheme based on academic performance at each IBS®
campus
with scholarships up to Rs.3 lakhs.
Under
this scheme, the top 25% performers at each IBS®
campus will be eligible to
receive merit scholarships based on specified GPA in each semester. The details
of eligibility and conditions to be met for the campus merit scholarship will be
provided in the Student Handbook.
|
Merit-cum-means
Scholarship
|
These
scholarships of up to Rs. 3 lakhs each are awarded to a total of 180
students (10 students from each campus). The students who are meritorious and
who are in need of financial assistance are eligible for this scholarship. To be
eligible for the scholarship, they are required to maintain GPA of over 7.0 in
each semester. Students can apply for this scholarship in the first semester.
The
details of eligibility and conditions to be met for the merit-cum-means
scholarship will be provided in the Student Handbook.
Students
are eligible to receive any one of the scholarships i.e., the merit scholarship
or the merit-cum-means scholarship.
All
students of IBS®
campuses located at Bhubaneswar, Goa, Indore, Jaipur,
Kochi, Lucknow and Mangalore are eligible to receive a special scholarship of
Rs.1.5 lakhs. To remain eligible for the special scholarship, they should
maintain a minimum CGPA of 5.5 in each semester. The special scholarship can be
claimed in addition to merit scholarships.
IBS®
offers need-based loan scholarships up to Rs. 2 lakhs to 2000 students across
all the IBS®
Campuses.
These
scholarships are offered to students subject to their maintaining a minimum CGPA
of 5.5 (out of 10) during their course of study at IBS®. Students can apply for
loan scholarships during the second semester. The highlights of the loan
scholarship scheme are:
-
Rate
of interest is 12% p.a.
-
Repayment
starts six months after completion of studies or after getting a job
(whichever is earlier).
-
Equated
monthly installments (EMIs): 36.
-
Post-dated
cheques should be deposited for all EMIs.
-
All
documentation needs to be duly signed by the applicant and
parent/guardian with joint and several liability.
Loan
scholarships are need-based and meant to bridge any funding gaps that may arise
during the student's course of study. For example, a student whose expenses are
Rs.6.5 lakhs and who gets a bank loan of Rs.5.5 lakhs and a merit scholarship of
Rs.1 lakh will not be eligible for a loan scholarship. The loan scholarship will
be provided only to those, who after utilizing other sources of funds like bank
loans, merit scholarships, etc., still fall short of funds to continue their
studies.
